SPANDAN

"Spandan" is the Art and Culture Association of Dyal Singh Evening College. As the name suggests, the five teams of the association are like the five petals of a flower, which get together and bloom.

Art and culture is a huge family of talented artists which only gets bigger every year. It is the only association in the Delhi University where all the teams work together and form an Art and Culture Association . The traditions we follow here , not only help us to honor our skills but also help us in our personal growth , while rating grounded to our roots .

Its the place where the cream of our college is, and we make the best of it and it only gets better.

Team Phulkari

The Folk Dance Society of Dyal Singh Evening College.

The society is blessed with amazing versatile dancers.

From Bhangra to Bengali, and from Indian Classical to Laavni, the team portrays, different forms of folk dances (majorly PUNJABI FOLK i.e Jindwa).

Stumbling and floundering about, drenching in sweat, we tackle the difficulties together, making the hardwork count. And bringing the society to such level that not only in Delhi but this time PHULKARI rocked in Jaipur too. Despite the glory and some defeats, our dedication is truly visible thus, everytime PHULKARI is on stage you'll get a power pack performance because eventually it's not about winning or losing, it all comes down to us giving our bests and for the folks to remember our performance and that's what inspires us to never stop pitching up for victory.

Team Rishabh

The Music Society of Dyal Singh Evening College. It is known for its talent in different genres of music. Team Rishabh takes an active part in musical competitions around Delhi and other cities too. It has its own band which performs Indian and Western both. They also perform Indian classical in various competitions. Last year Rishabh bagged a total of 17 prizes through various competitions around New Delhi. All in all it was a magnificent year for team Rishabh and we will continue to do so.

Team Aakriti

The Fine Arts and Photography Society of Dyal Singh Evening College is one of the five society of Art and Culture Association. The members of the team have won more than 100 prizes in the various domains of art like tattoo making, sketching, face painting at institutions like All India Institute of Medical Science, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Indian Insitute of Technology, Roorkee etc. The team even decorates the college during the Annual Cultural Fest, Rajnigandha.
The team does the work with utmost grace and hardwork. We are grateful for art and our college for giving us the opportunity who gave us everything we have namely art.

Team Junoon

Roaring sky and the beating drums! Bequeathing a legacy in the world of nukkad, Junoon marks 25th year of change. Thus, we are back with the grandiloquent nukkad event : Jashn e Junoon. Inviting teams from all over DU, we make nukkad extravagant. Iron your kurtas , set your dhaflis and practice the calling because the nukkad is all set. Come celebrate!

The Cyclone Dance Crew of Dyal Singh Evening College is synonymous to articulation and contentment.

As it is truly said, dance is a beautifully abstracted and intangible form of communication.

The Dance crew of DSEC provides you with a platform to put your soul into dance.

Convenor's message

We at Dyal Singh Evening College present to you, our annual cultural fest "Rajnigandha".

The 30th edition will be bigger and better.This time like every other year the association is working together with all its might.We are leaving no stones unturned to make our fest better than the last year.Going by the standards of Delhi University the fest is one of its kind.

The teachers committee at the cultural association is fully supportive of the event and makes sure that they are the student's first helping hand when in need.The students,like a family, have started the rigorous work that the mega event demands.We would also like to thank our Principal sir for his endless support.

The preparations are on and this 17th,18th and 19th of February we invite you to witness the grandeur.

I extend the unparalleled elation we all here in the Art and Culture association feel in welcoming you all to our annual cultural fest, entering it's 31st edition.

The preparations are in full swing and each member of association is pouring their heart out to dish you the best we got. The sheer dedication and presentation is sure to leave you spellbound.

We eagerly wait for you to grace our culture spectacle on the 17th, 18th and 19th February and be immersed in a never forgetting experience!
